A personal chef is a professional chef who provides meal planning and preparation for their clients and families. We love to recreate your favorite restaurant dishes.

 FAQs

  • The initial consultation is free. We can do this through email or over the phone - whatever is more convenient for your schedule. During the call, we will discuss your needs - frequency of service, how you plan to use the meals, likes, dislikes, allergies, special dietary needs and goals. We will use this information to create a custom plan to meet your needs. We will email you a few sample menus, and you can decide how you would like to move forward.

  • No, we understand that your needs are different during certain seasons of life. We are here to help you through those times. This also allows you to provide meals for a loved one as they welcome home a new baby, manage a health crisis or navigate the loss of a loved one. There are no contracts or subscriptions required.

  • The pricing includes menu planning, shopping for the freshest ingredients, preparation and packaging of meals based on your needs and storage space (fridge or freezer) and follow-ups to make sure we are meeting your expectations - taste, portion size & favorites for regular rotation! Groceries are in addition to the cost of service. Deposit required and balance is due before or at delivery.

*Entrees include a starch and vegetable that pair with the main dish.

*Additional servings may be added to an entree for $15.00 per serving ( plus any additional cost of ingredients).

*A nonrefundable deposit of $30.00 per cook date is required for special dietary meal planning.

  • That really depends on how you plan to use it. In my experience, most clients choose a 3 to 4 week rotation. We understand - schedules change and sometimes we eat out even with the best of intentions. Our meals are flexible and labeled with fresh or freezer prep instructions.

  • Absolutely! If you have a freezer full of meat that you would like to use up, we are happy to help you get creative with the preparation. Tired of just getting your wild game ground up? We can help you turn it into a feast fit for royalty.

  • Your first service will be packaged in disposable dishes and a one time fee of $15 will be added to your bill. If you choose to continue your service, I personally recommend Corning ware and/or Pyrex. All dishes must include a lid. If you so choose, I will gladly purchase the appropriate containers and add the price to the grocery bill. These containers are then your property and will be returned to you at the termination of your service. Customer will return clean dishes to Chef Jen before the next service date. I often recommend 2 sets, so dishes can be exchanged during food pick-up/delivery.

  • *We ask that you pay the service fee on the day you receive your menu. A final invoice for the groceries will be sent and can be paid at pick-up or delivery. This will reserve your cook date.

*7 Day notice is required to change a cook date. 72 hour notice is required for cancellation. A nonrefundable $30 fee will be kept if you do not meet the above.

*If grocery shopping has been completed (typically 24 to 48 hours in advance), the client will be billed for groceries and services rendered. Our schedule is busy, and we appreciate as much notice as possible. We understand life happens, but we turn down other clients in order to complete your service.

*If we fail to meet a cook date ( with the exception of illness, as we know you don’t want those germs) We will re-schedule to accommodate you at a reduced service fee.
